Home Brewed Smittle:Week 28.12 to go.

Wowzah! 12 more weeks. It doesn't seem like it has been that long, but then I think back to the first "tire"mester and OH YEAH, I've earned the right to say only 12 more weeks(assuming Eli decides to come around his due date). I'm starting to feel pretty full of baby, which could be a problem seeing how he's still got TWELVE weeks left. People have started saying things like, "Wow. You are looking really...pregnant." Yes. I look pregnant because I AM pregnant. I feel bad that I've gone the entire pregnancy without a picture of the belly, but by the sixth I'm doing good to still be posting on this blog! I'll be sure to get good pictures of the actual baby. That's what really counts, right?
Babycenter says the baby is blinking his eyes and can see light. We love to play with a flashlight and feel our babies move to go near the light. If you are pregnant, try it! It's so cool!
BC also says that Eli is a little over 2 pounds and is almost 15 inches long. According to them, he's about the size of a Chinese cabbage!

Home Brewed Smittle: Week 27.13 to go.

I am so frustrated with blogger right now, so I haven't really posted a lot lately. They are saying that I have hit my limit for pictures and if I want to add any that aren't just linked in I'll have to pay a monthly fee(which isn't happening). SO, until I figure out what I want to do I've been a little MIA.

BUT, I don't want to not post each week SO, here goes week 27.

This has been a rough week. I got a nasty UTI, but now I'm feeling better. I had some troubles with my nurse midwife to be honest, and this was the first time since I made my decision to have homebirths that I was completely frustrated and didn't know what to do. BUT, it all worked out and I feel like from here on out things will be fine. My midwife was SUCH a support through it all and made sure I was feeling better and had everything I needed. I'm so blessed to have her for not only ME, but my baby!
I've also had some other aches and pains this week. Mostly my tail bone! I know a trip to the chiro is needed, but our schedule and checkbook haven't let that happen yet.
I'm getting really excited about having a baby boy in the house again! I've been coveting other babies for the last few weeks! Ha! I just have to keep telling myself it's getting closer and closer.
Babycenter says that he is about the size of a head of cauliflower, weighing in at 2 pounds. He's also about 14.5 inches long. I'm still feeling like he's going to be a big baby, but what to I know! My last boy was the smallest of all my babies!

Scotty Smittle in the News

Just in case you DON'T know, my husband, Scotty,  recently opened a counseling office in our home town. It's been a wild ride the last few months, but I'm so proud of him for trusting the Lord and running towards a passion he feels like the Lord has blessed him with. It's been obvious that he's doing what he needs to be doing and we've been so blessed in the last few months with conformation in our decision to quit his full-time job with great benefits to live in the self-employed world!
Want to see some of those blessings??? Well, he was featured on the noon day news a few weeks ago! You can watch that here. AND, today you can pick up a December copy of Little Rock Family and see him among the "Top Health Pros." Seriously! A full-page picture of the hottest counselor you'll ever lay your eyes on! Hehe! To say I'm giddy with excitement for him is the understatement of the year.
You can support Scotty by liking the office facebook page. That will keep you in the loop about any new happenings. You can also tell others! Word of mouth is such a great way to promote small businesses! We appreciate how you've already spread the word! It's amazing to hear people talking about my husband and to know that they believe in him like I do. Know that we truly appreciate your help on this journey!!
