Addi is also a fashion diva. Since she was old enough to grab at clothes she's been picking her own style. She loves to look "fancy." Usually I'll let her wear what she wants because lets face it, we've got enough battles to fight. What my kids wear really doesn't matter THAT much to me.
Today, Addi wore THIS:
Why YES, that's stripes, animal print, red polka dots(actually it's snowflakes), and ruby slippers. And YES, I let her wear this in public. I've always tried to let the kids wear anything they've wanted as long as it's modest(which it usually is because I bought it in the first place).
When Olivia was little she wore a plastic crown and about 10 strands of beads just about everywhere. Why? Because she wanted people to know she was a princess.
Giving in on what your beauties wear will give them the opportunity to look like a lady, learn to be modest, and feel a sense of independence. Yes, there will be times(like today) when you will cringe at their fashion ideas, but you have NO idea how happy my sweet girl was when someone at the shoe store told her she was "so lovely today!"
The King is enthralled by your beauty, my Addi(Psalm 45:11), and Momma is too!
I love this!!!!!! I think she looks perfectly beautiful in every little way. Also, since I was old enough to want to be a momma, I used to tell people that I would let my children pick out what they wanted to wear when they were little. It helps them express their character!
