MOPS Balloon Launch

I've mentioned before that I'm a member of our local MOPS group. I would encourage any mom's with preschoolers to look into MOPS if possible. Even if your children are older, MOPS is always looking for good mentor moms, so there's a place for everyone! It's recently been my best support system and is always so encouraging.
Recently, we lost one of our moms to a year long battle with cancer. It's so hard to lose a peer! The reality of the unexpectedness of life hits you hard when you lose someone in your social circle. It's been hard for me to think about how short life can be and how we need to soak up every moment we have.

Today, our MOPS group did a balloon launch in memory of Jeanie.

It was so special to include our children in this activity! What's amazing about MOPS is that you can meet with, love on, and serve other moms WITH your kiddos by your side. I LOVE that my children have helped me prepare new mommy meals, or cleaned up trash after a meeting, or even prayed for friends who have asked for prayer. Involving your children in ministry is so so important. Find a way to start today. You can start small, but do SOMETHING that will show them that we are here to bring glory to God and love one another.
