SO, since I ran out of storage I've had so much to post about!!
First, KK had a pirate pizza party at her favorite local pizza place. She had such a good time and the best part is that it was SO SO much easier for me! She loves the parties I usually do, but it's just not her style, SO, she had her mind made up exactly what she wanted and we did just what she asked. That meant I didn't get to make a homemade birthday banner, homemade party favors, or self-made cake. BUT, she was so happy with the way things turned out, so that's all that matters.
Here are a few pictures of her special day.
KK, Addi, and KK's friend.
The adult and baby table.
Scotty reading his prayer for KK.
The pirate cake KK asked for.
If you can't tell, KK was a LITTLE excited about her cake.
Bubby LOVES getting to play the games in the game room.
My dad(Pop) and Bubby. They look like twins with their hats and glasses.
The sweet littles waiting to be called to tea.
So darling. This was before "tea."
With Barbie. She's actually the collector of the display.
Bubbs and Barbie. He told me he'd be her prince.
Olivia coloring a picture.
Mia eating her "tea cake."
Brubbs(who was the only boy there!)
The kids in the display room. Addi said she could just live there.
Brubbs decided to drive us home. Ha!
We've also had a lot of dress-up lately. Mia has really started to enjoy playing with the big kids. Here she is in the get-up she picked out herself! Ha!
I think she looks like Bubby in this picture. She has such a cute silly little cheese face. Still not much hair, but more now than she did in this picture.
We've also recently visited the fire department. We go at least twice a year with our playgroup. The kids LOVE this simple outing. If you've never taken your kids I'd highly recommend it. Not only will they learn simple fire safety, but they can see the fireman in their full gear, and know what they'll look like if they ever have to come in and rescue them from a fire in the home. They also always give us free goodies which the kids love!
The girls talking to the fireman.
Addi trying to slide down the pole.
The kids waiting on the rest of our group so we could start our picnic.
We also had several weeks of sickness. Poor Mia had a terrible ear infection, stomach bug, and then another round of ear infection. This particular morning Bubby had an accident in his bed due to too much juice at church the night before, so they were snuggled up with me in the bed WAY too early. I thought this was a precious moment captured.
Because my littles live on a schedule they rarely ever fall asleep when it's not naptime, but this poor baby was so tired from being sick that after she got in her school time play box(pack-n-play filled with a bag of special toys) she dumped the toys and fell fast asleep. Makes me sad that she was so sick, but I think she's finally feeling better now.
KK wasn't the only one who celebrated a birthday in November. Manly also had a big day! He turned the big THREE-OH! Boy have I ever been waiting for this day! He gives me SUCH a hard time about being older than him, so I'm glad he's finally in his thirties too!
Pardon the laundry carts in the background. This day was a TERRIBLE day that started out with the washing machine spilling out gallons of water, so I'd pulled the carts into the kitchen while we fixed the issue. This is Manly looking at all the cards we made him before we ate his favorite(doughnuts) for breakfast.
My sweet sweet Manly man. He just keeps getting better looking by the day!
In other news, KK got new glasses to help her see to read. She looks so cute!
These are hand-picked by KK herself for coolness.
She says they are Joseph glasses because the "sides are like his colored coat!"
I already posted on this, but Manly was on the news, so we made it an event! Ha!
Here are the kids watching their dad. They were so proud.
Such an exciting moment for the kids to see their dad on TV! Isaiah kept calling him a TV star! Ha!
Lastly, we had Thanksgiving here this year, so that was fun. I love having Thanksgiving at our home. My parents have large families, so we always have a house full of people and I just LOVE it! To start the day off Manly and I made turkey pancakes.
Aren't they CUTE! Fresh fruit, cheerio eyes, and an almond.
These are all of the great grandchildren my Granny Brown has. Isn't that an amazing legacy? Such a beautiful group of kids!
I walked into the school room at one point to find this man cave! YIKES! I didn't stay in there long!
Manly with his favorite uncle. My uncle Danny. They even wore matching shirts for the occasion. Ha!
So, that's it for today because I'm sure you are in picture overload. Soon I'll work on December so far, but there you have November via pictures.
A friend of mine had the same problem with her blog and had to go back and delete a lot of photos. Way to stick it. And I'll probably need advice on how when mine gets to that point.
