Dude, Those Folks are Strange

So my random post was such a hit I thought I'd continue into today with a few other things that also include the rest of the people in our family. Manly will probably deny anything written here, so don't even try to call him out on anything...
  • Olivia does NOT like for me to clip her nails, floss her teeth, or clean out her ears. She says I'm too rough. She'll time her shower so that it's most likely that Manly can help her instead.
  • When all the kids can bathe themselves I'll have a LOT more hours in my day. So far we've got two self-bathers and one more on their way. Just three more. We can do it.
  • KK obsesses about food most all day. There is little time when she's NOT thinking about it. Usually when she's thinking about what movie she's going to pick the next time it's her turn.
  • Mia is a very fussy child. Probably the fussiest one of all the kids as babies. I'm not sure why. She's also REALLY sweet and funny.
  • I once rode a cow. Just like you'd ride a horse, only I was scared of horses, so my friend suggested I ride her grandparents cow. The poor little thing was so scared it just stood there mooing and would walk. Ha! I think back to the moment a lot and think, what in the world.
  • I get frustrated faster and easier as an adult than I ever did as a kid/teenager/young adult.
  • I'm a perfectionist.
  • Manly sleeps with a nose strip to help control snoring. It doesn't do much good.
  • Bubby would rather dress as a princess than a super hero when the kids are playing dress-up. He's all boy all the other time, so I'm usually OK with it.
  • Manly hate the feeling of napkins on cups. For instance, say you go to an ice cream place and they put a napkin on the outside of your cup to give it to you so your hand doesn't get cold and the cup doesn't slip around. This makes him cringe. He quickly removes it and just deals with the wet slippy cold cup.
  • My dishwasher doesn't wash anything that gets put on the top rack. That means that there are a lot of dishwasher loads and hand washed dishes around here.
  • I'd love to have two sets of washers and dryers. Maybe some day...
  • I wish Mia had more hair. I have hair envy of some of these newborn babies with a head full of hair. The poor girl just doesn't have any hair!
  • Manly makes breakfast almost every morning. He's a saint, I tell ya.
  • Olivia makes lunch most days. What a dreamchild.
  • I laugh too loud.
  • I always fall asleep in movies started after 8 or 9. I just..can't...stay....awake....
  • Isaiah knows about guns and knives and all sorts of other boy stuff without ever being taught. Blows my mind.
  • I stuff the washing machine too full. It always gets the clothes clean, but it can't be easy on the ol' broad.
  • Manly has a lot of clothes. Like, a LOT.
  • Manly listens to Christian rap music. If there is such a thing. I can't tell...
  • Manly listens to just about any kind of music you can imagine.
  • Manly has earbuds.
  • The kids call Manly's music "dude music." Yeah, that's right kids. Dad's too old for rap music.
  • Manly drives a blue car because he is color blind and thought it was silver when he bought it.
  • Manly is color blind in a way not many people are. He got 0 out of 14 on a color blind test.
  • Olivia is REALLY good at braiding hair. Probably better than me.
  • Manly has had several near death experiences.
  • Speaking of near death, I once held my then 4-year-old sister by the leg while my mom(who was at least 7 months pregnant) came running across the yard, sprinted up the tree we were in, and got her down. That's why I don't like the kids climbing trees when Manly isn't home. Kids are bonkers and not good tree climbers. Neither are pregnant momma's.
  • My sister now works in the medical field.
  • My mom hasn't climbed any more trees that I know of since then, but I bet you a million bucks she'd do it again if there was a child dangling from one. She might even rescue a cat from a tree.
  • My mom and sister are cat people.
  • I'd leave a cat in a tree. I mean, they got themselves up there, right? What goes up MUST come down...
  • Olivia wants to be an animal rescuer/missionary some day.
  • KK wants to work at McDonalds.
  • Bubby wants to be a race car.
  • Addi wants to get married, buy a BIG house, let me come and live there, and have lots of little babies.
  • Mia will likely be the president or in jail.
  • I'd love to live in Orlando and work at Disney World. You may think I'm joking, but I'm not! Seriously, it's the happiest place on earth. Simply magical.
  • We are planning to take the kids to WDW in September of 2013 if all goes well.
  • Smittle, party of 8. YIKES!
  • I love to watch tv online, but hate online commercials.
  • Manly loves commercials and previews. He will totally pause the tv if I interrupt a preview. Strange.
  • Manly doesn't really like to watch movies with me. Well, with the talking and sleeping and all.
  • I rarely get what Manly is saying when he posts on facebook. It's like he's got this online lingo that is different from his regular lingo. I always have to ask him what he means.
  • Addi is the only one of the kids that has been brave enough to get her ears pierced, but they all live vicariously through her by always telling her what pair of earrings she should buy.
  • I should have numbered these so that I'd know how many points I've made, but by now it's likely no one is reading anyway, so, if you made it this far consider yourself lucky. Ha!
