Five Quick Tips on Shopping a Rhea Lana's Pre-Sale

You know what time it is, right? The Holiday season is behind us, spring is just ahead-
IT'S RHEA LANA'S SEASON! With multiple sales in over 20 states, it's likely that there is a sale near you, so please check out the beautiful website to see where your closest sale is! If you don't have a sale anywhere near you, be sure to look at the franchising page! What a fun way to  meet new moms and make a little extra money too! If you've never heard of Rhea Lana's, you should start here. You can also connect and get lots of the latest updates by "liking" the RL Facebook page! It's a great place to find coupons and freebies(like reusable shopping bags!) during the sale too!

With our local pre-sale coming up on Saturday I thought I'd share a few thoughts/tips with you on how to shop a pre-sale! Consignment events can be a little overwhelming for first timers, and those without a plan! I think after following these tips you can be ready to SHOP SHOP SHOP!!
  1. TAKE A LOOK-Before you shop, take a look at the kids closets, shoes, and play room to be sure you know what they have/need. Is it time to move up a size? Do they have tons of jeans but no short sleeve shirts for spring? Are they in need of shoes? What sizes do you need to shop for? Knowing what your children have and what they need will help you stay on budget, get all the things they need at a great price instead of paying retail, AND save you a LOT of time. Before you shop, TAKE A LOOK!
  2. MAKE A LIST-While you are checking closets, dressers, and shelves make a list. Put it on your phone, or, if you're like me, write it with a real pen and paper! When I'm getting ready for a pre-sale I'll make a list with each child's name, clothing size, and shoe size along with all of their needs for the upcoming season. Be as specific as possible. For instance, you may just write shorts, but you mean denim shorts. Once you're at the sale browsing racks you may forget what "shorts" means and not get what you really need. A specific list will really help you to stay organized and calm at the sales, SO, MAKE A LIST!
  3. MAKE A PLAN-I can't tell you how important this is! A RL pre-sale is much like shopping Black Friday sales. There is a long line of shoppers waiting for the doors to open. When they do, you could be caught off guard without a plan. Making a plan of attack will help you most efficiently navigate through the store. Say you're REALLY looking for a highchair. If that's the most important thing on your list be sure to go look at those first. You won't have to lug it around with you. There are helpful volunteers that will take it to the front for you! I always look at all of the bigger things first BEFORE I start to look at clothing/shoes. The larger items are the first to sell, so be sure if you are looking for something like a carseat, swing, or bike to look for those things first. Once you are finished looking at the big ticket items you are ready to move on. I always take a quick look at movies, books, and toys next. There is always such a great selection of these items! After I've seen toys I head over to the shoes and then clothes. Once you've got your list, you'll know what you need the most. Use your list to MAKE A PLAN!
  4. TAKE YOUR TIME-Friends, this is the biggest piece of advice I can give you. IF YOU RUSH, YOU'LL MISS OUT on the perfect items!! The shoe area can be a BEAST with 30 women all needing that one pair of size 3 Tiny Toms! Just slow down, take your time, and look at each bucket. You'll be glad you did! Sure, you should try to quickly find the area you are looking for, but rushing through shopping will make for a miserable trip! Make your plan, then TAKE YOUR TIME!
  5. HAVE FUN-Take a friend!! Take your momma!! Take your man!! Shopping together with someone else is SO much fun! Most pre-sale passes allow you to bring a shopping buddy! My mom and I always have SUCH a fun time browsing the sale together! It can also be a great day away for your self! Children are not allowed at the pre-sales due to the massive amount of items, so take advantage of a day away to shop on your own without kids! I LOVE RL season because I LOVE the RL family! These girls(and even some guys) have put so much time and love into the sales! Rhea Lana herself is one of the sweetest most genuine people you'll ever meet! It's her desire to BLESS families with fabulous items at fabulous prices! Take the time to get to meet your sale crew and thank them for giving you the opportunity to shop! Take the time to HAVE FUN!
If you are unable to shop the pre-sale, take advantage of the sale throughout the week. Don't forget that many items are discounted 25% and 50% by the end of the week. This is a great time to stock up on items you may have missed the first go around! Basically, anytime is a good time to shop a RL sale! I hope my quick tips will make for a great pre-sale shop! Good luck and HAPPY SHOPPING!

Locals, let me know if you need a pre-sale pass and I will HOOK YOU UP!!
