If you only get ONE thing done

As a mom it can be tough to get normal things done. Things like washing your hair, putting on make-up, and getting out of those yoga pants that haven't actually been washed in quite some time because every time your home doing laundry you've got them on. I know. I've got a pair too. Ha!
Anyway, there are days that I'll give myself tiny goals to meet throughout the day so that I can get normal things done. I'll say, OK. If I can get X done I'll do Y afterwards. Doing just one thing at a time makes life not seem so overwhelming.

One thing I try to do above all others is make my bed. I'm telling you that if you can get your bed made early in the day it makes SUCH a difference in your day. Each time you walk into your room you'll feel comforted and cozy. If you only have time to do one thing for yourself, make your bed. I'm telling you. It makes a difference. It's also a good habit to teach even your littlest of children.

  1. I agree!!! Whenever I come home, if I didn't make the bed that morning, it really makes me sad!
