Better than the Super 8

We stayed at one of the cheapest hotels there is on the resort. Because of the size of our family we had to either have a pricey two bedroom villa, or get to adjoining rooms. When we first decided to go back we made our reservations at the new Art of Animation Resort thinking at as the time for the trip got closer they would offer free dining(as they do most fall seasons). When they released the offer we were sad to find out that our resort was not included in the offer. It was going to be SUCH a savings to get the free dining that we just couldn't pass it up, so we moved our reservation to the All Star Movies Resort(with very sad faces!!).
Honestly, the resorts are all clean and all magically Disney, so it's really just about how much money you want to pay to sleep in a bed. That's just about the only time you're in your room anyway! Personally, I think the cheaper resorts are more family friendly. They all have amazing outdoor décor and cool pool areas. The pools in the more upscale resorts are AMAZING too, but you won't miss them being at a cheaper resort. I promise.
We got to spend some time looking around our resort, and since we were upgraded to nicer rooms we were in the Toy Story area. There are several areas in each of the value resorts. They each have a different sub-theme branching off of the main theme. Since our resort was movies, all of the different areas are based on different movies.
Each room has cute little towel animals. I meant to take a picture one day after we came back, because the mousekeeping staff would make the beds all cute with the kids stuffed animals.

This RC was right outside our room. Isaiah LOVED it!

This picture makes me laugh out loud EVERY time I look at it! A DOR A BLE!! He's posing like RC is going REALLY fast! HAha!

Addison having her turn. She said, "Look! I'm driving without using my hands!"

I wish you could tell how big this door is. It's actually about as big as the three story buildings. HUGE!

Huge blocks.

Bo Peep. FYI: KK didn't want to do pictures this night, so there aren't any of her.

Giant Rex

GIANT Buzz!! He is SO huge! You can see my littles on his foot.

Woody. Our room was right behind him.

Isaiah in the room. I was actually trying to get a shot of the room when he said, "Take my picture with my sword, Mom!"

We decided to go visit the Art of Animation one afternoon, so here are a few shots we got from there. We really hope to stay there next time...whenever that might be. It's so bright and colorful and QUIET!
This is the lobby. It's full of these BEAUTIFUL sketches of Disney characters.

These little dears are adorable! And every once in a while they start to yelp, "mine!"

My baby boy LOVED this cars area.

It's FULL of these great replicas of the cars from the movies. Amazing details.

This is the sidewalk. I mean, seriously! So cool.

Ramone is one of Addi's favories.

Isaiah said, "This is REALLY cool!!"

How many Smittles can fit into Mater's mouth?

A LOT.

Bubby's favorite.

Bubby with Lightning. It was REALLY hot and bright, but he was still so excited.

  1. Great posts and you got some great pictures. I cried twice-seeing Addi at the princess boutique and when Isaiah got lost, oh man, that was a tear jerker.

Sounds like despite a few bumps, it was a good trip.

We loved Animal Kingdom too, the shows were amazing and pastries in France are also my favorite!!!

I really enjoyed seeing the new pictures of Fantasy Land, it just seems so amazing. You can't beat Beauty and the Beast!!

    Hope Addi is feeling better!
